Kb came out found a bad hot surface igniter instead of doing the right thing and replacing with an OEM part like they should have they used the wrong part that was a half an inch too short this caused the furnace not to ignite properly and would make the combustion chamber have small explosions when it would light. I would not trust a service company that can't even get a 20$ part right. ( The proper ignitor is on the left kb. Next time don't cut corners you might hurt someone)

They charged $250dollars for 20 minutes vacuuming my furnace .Don't used their services. It's not even deep cleaning. When I scheduled an appointment I asked for tun up. When they left furnace started to do noises. I called customer service, but the women on the phone were rude I got their phone number frome Home smart Xcel energy. Home smart Xcel energy should stop to working with KB service co.Otherwise we are paid for Home smart Xcel energy money for nothing. They are not reliable co.

HomeSmart through Xcel Energy dispatched KB Service to repair our furnace when it stopped heating the house. A technician arrived around 12:30 PM on Friday, but no explanation was provided about the repairs made. When I returned home at 4:30 PM, the house was still freezing at 51°. I called them back, and while the second technician was prompt, he didn’t have the correct part on hand and used a temporary solution. By Saturday morning, the house was cold again, confirming the fix didn’t hold. When I contacted KB Service again, I was informed that their company policy only allows their "parts manager" to order parts, and this person only works on weekdays. This explanation was unacceptable, especially considering it was December during a cold snap, and there are parts stores open on Saturdays. Instead of finding a real solution, they suggested using portable heaters but didn’t offer to provide any. Keep in mind, I pay for a home service warranty through Xcel Energy, and this repair should have cost me nothing. Instead, I ended up paying $250 out of pocket to another HVAC company, which was comparable to what I would have spent on temporary space heaters. The alternative company was able to locate the necessary part from a store open until 1 PM on Saturday and completed the repair that evening. Their efficiency made it clear that KB Service’s lack of urgency, rigid policies, and unwillingness to explore other options were completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, due to KB Service’s delays, we had to relocate our dog because it was too cold to keep her in the house. KB Service showed no sense of urgency despite temperatures dipping below freezing, beyond recommending space heaters. I would not recommend KB Service to anyone. Their poor communication, unpreparedness, and inadequate response to a heating emergency make them unreliable and unprofessional.

They came to my house as part of a home service plus contract through Xcel. They have been the best HVAC people to service my house yet in the past 5 years

This company is a complete joke. We have had 5 different technicians out since Tuesday the 12/10 and today is Friday 12/13/24 fir a tenant with a furnace that blowing cold air in below zero weather and not one of them can seem to figure out what’s wrong.

January 2023. KB Services : I used this service connected with Xcel Energy homesmart. They were completely irresponsible. Sending out a technician with COVID. I specifically stated if anyone in your firm had been recently out for COVID I will reschedule. Plus the person absolutely needs to wear a certified n95 mask the whole time he’s in my home. He came without one ( So I provided the mask). I’m older with asthma. He took it off while working on my furnace ! What an idiot! Blowing it all through my house! How do I know he didn’t have mask in …because I walked down 1/2 hour into work ( with my mask on) and his was off. Also I had not been out of my home for over 2 weeks because of the weather etc. I was so sick with upper respiratory ( close to hospitalization) I was solid in bed for 2 months. It has taken me 1.5 years to have any energy etc. Xcel should not use them ever again. P

Had my AC unit replaced and the new unit had a defect and stopped working. KB came the next day, confirmed the issue, and placed a warranty replacement order right away. My AC was back up and running soon after. John was very kind and had extra team members on site to get the job done quickly.

Jimmy and Tony installed a new furnace in my home and were absolute champs. They worked hard and left the furnace area clean when they left. Chill folks who took care of business. Thank you!
